For three weeks the weatherman has predicted snow and it finally did so. We had about a half-inch and then it melted. But, it’s snowing again.
I know my husband isn’t too fond of the snow. After all, he’s the one that has to wait out at the bus stop in it late at night. But, when the snow is falling, I get happy. Manic, I suppose, but it feels good. I love that it snows here in Spokane, but I miss how much it used to snow when we lived in Missouri. That always felt like a solid three months of snow.
Was anyone else annoyed with the Oprah episode with author James Frey? I can understand she wanted to save face, but she didn’t need to do that at the expense of the humiliation she heaped upon Frey (while her audience cheered). Me me me me me me.
Don’t get me wrong. What Frey did was wrong. But he’s stood up to some pretty public ass-kicking AND he admitted he lied and was wrong to do so. The guy didn’t commit murder. Let him leave the face-slapping and go recover. I swear, the way he looked as Oprah continued to badger him, Frey looked like he needed a fix.
Off the soapbox. Snow or no, the spousal unit and I are off to the movies tomorrow. We might see The New World, End of the Spear of The Matador. We’ve seen so many serious movies lately, I’d like to see The Matador. I like Pierce Brosnan.
Now, here’s a question for ya’ll to think upon: How important is it to you as you read blogs to see at least one sidebar as part of the layout?
I actually have that James Frey book, haven’t read it yet. don’t really know how i feel about it now either. i like to read really gorey true stories and now it seems the gore was not for real. anyhow, i think Opera did the show for ratings. and why the hell did she call Larry King if she was gonna take it all back. he should write fiction.and she should leave him alone.
not important to me LOL
