In The City

In The CityI am a stranger in the city
Easily dazzled by the lights
the heights
the fast pace leaves me breathless.

Standing still I find my mind spinning…
Where do I go?
Where did I come from?

I long for the chair
that knows my comfort
the cat that reads with me…
I feel so far away and lost.

About Jayne d'Arcy

I am now, as of 2010, 48 years old. I do a bit of digital artwork, and photography. I also write Harry Potter fan fiction that is Severus Snape-centric. No slash. On this blog I have a library of my own original work, which I hope you'll be inclined to visit and comment on.

Sounds like my first impression when I visited Times Square at night.

I found your blog through Binnsy’s Hovel. Your artwork is really original and very, very good. I’m enjoying looking through all of your drawings. Thank you for sharing them.
