or rather, around 11am today, since it is 1:31am here. I’m looking forward to talking to her. I also have to chase down some blood tests for my thyroid, and then see if I can have ten minutes with the doctor. The facial tingling has now really headed into totally weird territory.
Three days ago I had a migraine; not a bad one, but it merited an Imitrex and a long nap. The next day a cool tingling began on the left side of my lips. It felt, 100% EXACTLY the way your face will feel as it is waking up from the effects of novacaine after a dental visit. As the hours progressed, the sensation continued, cycling through that feeling in different parts of the left side of my face. Late at night after about 24 hours of this, I made a really startling discovery; each of the points where this sensation cycled through a “wake up process” I’d had a cavity filled. It is as though my body had recorded the sensation of the “novacaine wake up” from my past dental visits and was playing them back to me. Only on my left side.
With the tingling having originated on my left side (but also affecting my right) and now this weirdness after a migraine, it makes me wonder the worst… did I have a freakin’ mini-stroke?
Most people who sat around for two days with something like this, would be in the ER by now. But with what goes on in my body everyday, sometimes I just don’t know if I should go, or if it would wind up being something I just have to tolerate.
Of course I’ll get to see the doc sometime soon, if not tomorrow, but it’s going to be a huge relief talking to the counselor.
May God be with you today and perhaps give you some relief from it all. I have some health concerns myself and I can’t wait until Monday to see the Doc. For either peace of mind.. or …. ugh. Take care!
I hope everything goes okay.
