What A Way to Start the Day

15 Aug

With a visit to the ER. Woke up at about 7am this morning with absolutely excruciating pain and unable to see clearly from my left eye. Turns out it was a hellacious migraine set to rights with oxygen and benadryl. I was poked six times, twice successfully for a blood draw. Joy.

Home now. The left side of my face kind of numbed up, but that may be due to something else. ER guy didn’t seem too concerned.

I’m just a bit disgusted by it all and hope the bill gets sent to the dead letter office.

I know the feeling auuughhh. If you can catch it before it gets really bad – try a cup of ginger tea. Buy fresh ginger root and keep cut up pices in a plastic bag in the freezer. When you feel it coming on, make an infusion with about a tablespoon’s worth of cut up fresh ginger and a cup of boiling water. Let it sit for a minute or two. You can add some honey to sweeten. Leave the ginger in there and drink it up. I got immediate results! This works with hormone migraines and sinus migrains. Try it you never know!

Yes, please get better. That is scary. Didn’t the ER Doctor suggest a Nuerologist or something? I’ll keep you in my prayers, those migraines are terrible.

Feel better please. Today must have been the day for hospital trips: my FIL went to the hospital today with Gongestive Heart Failure. It’s been a long say.
