Stolen from Do You Have Issues because I needed something to do before I washed my hair:
1) Are you happy/satisfied with your blog with it’s content and look?
Since I design my own layouts on a fairly regular basis, at least I know I’m happy with the look. The content… well, sometimes it’s great and sometimes it isn’t. It’s a random mish-mosh that either works or it doesn’t.
2) Does your family know about your blog?
Yes. My mother reads my blog now and then. My brother has a blog at Trouble Ain’t Over.
3) Do you feel embarrassed to let your friends know about your blog or you just consider it as a private thing?
My friends are online. I think they know about my blog.
4) Did blogs cause positive changes in your thoughts?
Blogging has kept me sane, I think. It provides me with a place to write and to be creative.
5) Do you only open the blogs of those who comment on your blog or you love to go and discover more by yourself?
I do blog surf, but if someone comments on my blog, sincerely, then I definately visit and give them a read.
6) What does visitors counter mean to you? Do you care about putting it in your blog?
I don’t pay attention to other bloggers visitor counters. It isn’t why I’m there. As for my own counter, it’s invisible. I use it to check my referrers. I have a lot of lurkers, so I like to know where they come from. It’s nice to know I seem to have a regular lurker from Finland.
7) Did you try to imagine your fellow bloggers and give them real pictures?
All my fellow bloggers either look like Barbossa or Bette Davis. Do you really want me to explain that?
8) Admit it. Do you think there is a real benefit for blogging?
Yes. I think it is an excellent way to communicate and to bridge that gap between countries. Where else can you sit down, biting your nails, and pray as you read about a woman whose family is in the midst of bombings in Hezbollah? (All Kinds of Writing). Only in the blogosphere can you get well wishes from people all over the globe when you’re having a bad day. Do you know what it does for your self-esteem to know that someone as far away in Japan suffers from depression and sends you a little ecard that says, “just thinking of you”?
9) Do you think that bloggers society is isolated from real world or interacts with events?
I think bloggers actually tend to keep more on top of their real world than folks did before the internet and blogging. After all, the real world is where some of the best blogging material comes from.
10) Does criticism annoy you or do you feel it’s a normal thing?
Criticism, if it is asked for, is just fine. If you criticize a post of mine a story, or some personal opinion and I didn’t ask for you to tear into it, it bugs me. But if I do ask, then go for it.
11) Do you fear of some political blogs and avoid them?
Politics are over my head. I avoid it on TV, in real life conversations and in the blogosphere.
12) Did you get shocked by the arrest of some bloggers?
Uhm…. what arrests? Oh wait… I did hear about an arrest last year about a 15 year old girl with a Livejournal blog that threatened to kill her mother in her blog and did just that.
Bloggers are in a community. As in any community, there are good and bad. Some are going to do things that shock you.
13) Did you think about what will happen to your blog after you die?
It will die. My husband doesn’t know how to access it, so probably no one will know what’s happened to me. It does tend to bother me to think about that, but I don’t know what to do about it.
14) What do you like to hear? What is the song you would like to link to on your blog?
My brother Jack’s album, Trouble Ain’t Over. See on the sidebar? Go to his site to listen to a sample and buy it. You’ll love it.
Very glad to know that you stayed put, reaper. :)
well good to know your blog is sorted out. For awhile when I was depressed (v.2) I almost quit at least twice, then I slapped myself and said “Quit being a dumbass!” Afterall, even if no one reads, I know my blog is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
