with Alien: Resurrection. I don’t know how many times we’ve seen this movie, now, but it never gets old. We have all of them on DVD, and I wonder why.
Does anyone else think that BUYING DVDs is just a bit wasteful these days? You have STARZ, HBO, Showtime and half a dozen other pay movie channels that show movies a dozen or more times a month. Then you have regular channels, such as TNT that often show a movie three times in a weekend mini-marathon. If you’re a big rentor of movies, then no doubt you have a Netflix account, or Blockbuster.
We used to buy videos through Columbia House Videos several years back because we couldn’t afford the high price of the pay movie channels and Blockbuster, although inconvenient, was also pretty expensive. So we bought a lot of movies that we wanted to see. Those videos have been gathering dust now for about three years.
So, what do you do? Do you buy movies anymore? Rent them, or just wait for the many repeats on TV?
lol dawn! I don’t take marks off for spelling and grammatical errors… not yet, anyway. ;-)
We’ve been here for almost three years and still can’t get a Hastings account. I don’t get it. At least I can buy their books.
we buys? oh my gosh
we buys movies for the kids so they can watch them over and over and over. we use hastings and netflix to rent. i cant rent anywhere else until i get my texas id. they are real dodo heads about that here (i already had a hastins account so they can bite me, hehehehe)
We tend to buy DVDs of those films we particularly want to watch. We do watch those on Sky as well, including ones that it would probably never have occurred to us to watch otherwise.
Most of the time I just wait till they come on TV. I only buy DVD’s for movies I really love or old TV shows that I use to watch.
