1. Several years ago I gave my mother several of my larger black and white abstract drawings which she put together into a coloring book for the kids she substitute teaches for. If a teacher doesn’t leave a lesson plan, she drags out the coloring book. She’s always being told by the kids, “Mrs. Pribek, did you know that your daughter is on drugs?”

2. The movie Boogeyman STILL scares the bejeebus out of me. Even more than any other scary movie I’ve seen. I’m almost glad that when they do show the boogeyman, it looked so fake and badly done.
3. Not only am I amazed, impressed and generally stunned by my brother Jack, I’m damn proud of what he’s accomplished in his life.
4. The following TV shows have made me cry in the last couple of years: Crossing Jordan – an episode that mirrored the Oklahoma bombing and a plane crash episode, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – pretty much all of them, Ghost Whisperer – the first season ender, M*A*S*H – the final episode. There are others, but that’s all I’m admitting to. For now.
5. I’ve stayed with blogging longer than any job I’ve ever held.
