Do you watch LOST? I’ve enjoyed these latest episodes and am glad to see Kate and Sawyer together. . . BUT . . .
No more episodes until February? What the hell is this? I doubt the producers are behind this (I could be wrong). I think it’s the programmers at the station. They want to introduce their new show DAY BREAK with Taye Diggs. It looks like a great show. It’s going to kill my interest with LOST, though.
The hardest thing about watching LOST is the constant barrage of new mysteries piled on the old ones. We’re given answers, but not enough. I also think bringing in the Others and killing certain principles was a mistake. The story is getting too bent out of shape. It really makes me wonder if the writers even know what’s going on on their two islands.
So I weather the twists and turns, the Others, and the deaths and I’m shown a few new episodes that are good enough to get me hooked. Then I see at the end of tonight’s episode there’s not to be another one until February???
Stupid move. I’ll bet anything that their ratings, when the show does come back, is going to plummet in February.
I am sorry, I am not getting the jailed with DUI reference. Totally lost me there. I can’t beleive they split the season for so long. Why didn’t they just make one long season? 6 and then 16? That is stupid. I watched the first and second season on DVD, and not when they first aired. Now I have to wait and wait and wait! I feel like cartman, who can’t want for his wii to come out. freeze me, please. I want it now!
Lost is the new X-Files.
With each episode, the producers answer one question and raise a dozen.
This was something I felt in the second season and I that’s when I stopped watching. The first season was rivetting. The second made it clear that the show was spinning its wheels just to seem more impressive and mysterious.
Lost has been trying my patience since last season, though I haven’t yet given up on the show.
The flashbacks were important pieces of character development in the 1st season, but lately they’ve been annoying and redundant. Not only that, they’ve also been quite redundant (sorry, couldn’t resist). What did we learn from Kate’s flashback on Wednesday? She’s a runner, gotcha, we’ve known that for quite some time. Seems they could’ve spent more show time towards advancing the plot.
I hope Lost regains its footing when it returns in February. We’re 6 eps in and Hurley has only said “Dude” once.
Fred, you should rent the 1st & 2nd season on DVD. Apple ITunes also has episodes available. Once you see the very first three episodes you will be hooked.
Gosh, so Mr. Eko was tossed in jail too! If they keep this up the final LOST episode is going to end up a whole lot like Seinfeld’s final.
Anyone else addicted also to the “4400″? I’m still waiting for my second season to be shipped via Blockbuster online. (Have kid, can’t watch TV ontime without annoying interuptions.)
I read that the producers, etc, decided to do this so that there would be chunks of new shows and no more of this one new, 2 repeats, 2 new, one repeat crap. And, so very conveniently, it all happens around sweeps times.
I only watched two episodes of this show. It looked great to me but I started watching at the beginning of the second season and didn’t really know what was going on. I also had the sense that the show would end up like the X-Files, which never seemed to answer any questions and then ran out of steam.
ROTFL! I told Jon last night to give me a “Rip Van Winkle” pill that will make me sleep until February. There is no way I’ll be able to contain myself until then.
From all the special segments (on DVD Season releases) the writers seem to say that there “is” no planned outcome on how this will all end. In fact they actively search blogs and newsgroups to read what the viewer’s conspiracies are.
I was upset to learn that Libby just as Ana Lucia were both jailed with DUI’s. Kind of makes me wonder if Mr. Eko has a DUI also. Just as their story begins – their life ends. But….
Ben last night said, “See you on the other side” makes me wonder what he meant by that. Is there a spiritual or metaphysical side to the story not yet revealed? Will those who have died be revived? They did say something in the VHS tape found in the Pearl station about Dharma being an experiment on personal awakening.
Ahhh, who knows. I’m just glad they didn’t kill off Sawyer last night. He really makes the show.
