So, here we go:
Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris is coming out December 5th. Do you want to know how “Hannibal the Cannibal” became the monster he is? Then this needs to be on your reading list.
I liked the movies, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal, but they just don’t compare to the books. For one, each of the books gives you a much more concise look into the minds of not just Lechter, but the other monsters featured within the pages.
Emmitt Smith won!
Ok, if you don’t watch Dancing With the Stars, then you’re probably wondering what the heck I’m crowing about, but since I’m lazy, you can Google it if you’re curious.
Caffeine DEFINATELY makes the ulcer ache.
I knew I was taking a chance in having my coffee drink (International House Orange Coffee) but I had a damn migraine and the Fioricit wasn’t hitting it hard enough. Considering the headache is gone, the belly-ache is worth it.
I can beat the computer in Soul Caliber III but my husband keeps slaughtering me and he’s just mashing buttons.
Even though he wins, it’s fun to have him join me. He’s not really a fan of games, so it’s nice that he joins me in a game or two.
I found a $10 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.
I was cleaning out old papers in my desk. All these Medicare statements and stuff when the little credit card certificate fell out. I must have filed it way back when. I wish I could remember where it came from. Ah well, I had a great time at B&N today spending it and bought two more games for my Playstation 2.
I bought Jak & Dexter and Pirates of the Caribbean: Legacy of Jack Sparrow.
Like I’d say no to a pirate game?
Borat got punched in the nose.
Good. Quite frankly, I’m rather disappointed that so many people think this guy is funny. I don’t see any humor in his movie or what he did to anyone in that film.
And to conclude:
I’m hoping for snow.
For you, my lovely readers, a little meme:
Tell me what you’re going to do for the weekend, but make it up. Have fun. :)
My Weekend officially began about 1 hour ago, and I’ll spend the rest of this afternoon and evening baking cookies, preparing sandwiches and stocking the bar with soda and beer.
The carpenters and painters will arrive promptly at 8am tomorrow morning along with the Home Depot Delivery truck and the producers of The Home Channel’s “While you were away.”
When they arrive they told me to have everyone’s bags packed and get ready for a surprise three day excursion while they demolish and remodel my entire house.
The next Hannibal book will definitely be on my wish list! Now, to dig into my library and see if the first books stayed or if my rotten ex swiped them when he left.
My dogs and I have reservations at the Canlis, one of Seattle’s top “swanky” restaurants. The boys will be wearing proper bow ties and I will be dressed in slinky red satin.
I can’t wait for the new Thomas Harris book. I am a big fan of his books and you are right that the books are better than the movies (although “Manhunter” should get more recognition than it does).
As for “Dancing With the Stars”, I think Emmitt won the title because of his remarkable display imitating MC Hammer and doing the Hammer Dance. I’m not sure who does it better: Hammer, Emmitt, or
the MC Hammer turkey in this Thanksgiving ecard.
I am flying over to London to dine with the Queen. We’re having corn on the cob and Pez. And then we’re going to spend all night drinking and playing strip twister.
True story.
