I wouldn’t have said this years ago. I hated yogurt. The consistency made me gag and the taste was bitter. Last year, though, I began eating yogurt when I discovered Yoplait (hate the stupid, vapid commercials). Their chocolate mousse flavors and the strawberry whip are terrific. PLUS, they’re low fat. The carb content isn’t so great, but it’s not horrid.
So why is it a miracle?
Those little acidolpholi. L. Acidolpholus. Here’s what I learned from my mother:
Yogurt cures cold sores, sore throats, chancre sores in the mouth…. wait…. did you know that those gross mouth sores are ULCERS? Yogurt has been used in many countries as an aid in digestive problems including ulcers.
No wonder everytime I’ve eaten yogurt my stomach has felt better. Now I know why my mother kept trying to get us kids to eat yogurt.
That aside, we had a blizzard today. The snow isn’t deep, hardly a 1/2 inch, but flurries were really coming down and the wind has been blowing harshly. Despite this, we’re going to go and try to see the Children of Men movie tomorrow.
That’s it for now. Eat your yogurt.

Wow, I never knew that yogurt can benefit the body in those ways. Amazing. Thanks for sharing that info. :D
Im glad you found something to settle your cranky stomach…yes yogurt is certainly one of those miracle foods but…would you put it in waffles?
yummmm, now I want to go and get some yogurt. Personally, I like vanilla, and then I get those hard nature valley granola bars, and smash one up and put it inside the yogurt. YUM.
:)
ok, i will go buy some too. i love yoplait, it is the only yogurt i will eat. their orange flavor is pretty yummy!
i did not know that mouth sores were ulcers. yuck.
Too Cool! You have snow! Even though it only is a little bit. It’s so depressing here, granted I know it only snows in Savannah once every 10 years or so – but to have 80 degree weather (hotter in house) in January feels wrong.
Yogurt is great for many of those type of things from head to toe. Our bodies rely on a balance of bacteria and yeasties to digest and work properly. They usually counter each other but when one overrules the other ailments happen.
I’m not allergic to antibiotics but whenever I have to take them other things within me get way out of wack. From tummy problems to zits.
