Or, what guys will do to get some:
Having been married almost 14 years now, I’ve made an interesting observation in regards to the “courtship ritual” before and after we were married. I’d bet that some of you married folk are going to nod with understanding over this:
BEFORE we were married and the beau wanted *cough* a cuddle:
- There would be flowers in his hand and a smile on his face,
- Or he might bring those hazelnut chocolates I loved,
- He’d make me talk longer with him so that I would miss the last bus home and stay over night,
- We’d eat at Fisherman’s Grotto,
- We’d go to a movie in the evening which usually meant another missed bus home,
- Toe-tingling kisses, in public, that caught me deliriously off guard.
AFTER we were married:
- I get live flowers to be planted in the garden,
- Chocolate chip or peanut butter oatmeal cookies,
- He’ll watch Law & Order with me,
- We go to the matinee movie and have Subway sandwiches for lunch every weekend,
- Toe-tingling kisses at home that are terrific, and, the final kicker. . .
- Does a chore for me I hate, cleans the litterbox.
My comments may be goofy for a bit. I’m getting a lot of blogspot spammers hitting my old comments and I’m trying to figure out why SpamKarma2 and Bad Behavior are allowing them to get through. I may add a Captcha, but we’ll see how these latest settings work. If you see something odd, send me an email.
That’s so sweet. He hasn’t changed too much. I guess at 5 years now – I’m still qualified to be newlyweds and he hasn’t slacked any. He better not. LOL!
