Here’s just a little bit about what happened today:
A bomb threat at Sandpoint School. Turned out to be a hoax. What really bothers me is that in the space of two weeks this is the second bomb threat at a school. WTH???
On my way to the doctor today, I, along with 15 other people, saw a homeless guy get struck by a car. The fortunate thing was that the car had stopped at the light and was proceeding slowly to turn the corner. It was still a sickening thing to see.
A court’s decision to fine the owner of two pit bulls that mauled a horse (which had to be put down) and NOT to hold the dogs responsible came too late to save the dogs which had been put down late last night. I’m not a big fan of pit bulls, but I really am getting sick and tired of hearing about how this breed is abused over and over by STUPID and IGNORANT owners. I hate the fact that the owners whose dogs wind up hurting other animals or people get a slap on the wrist and the dog gets a death sentence.
Now here’s a cool bit of news: A 6 year old girl in the backseat of her mother’s car with her little brother fought off a car jacker. The car jacker slipped into the car just as the mother had left the car, gunned the engine and was driving off when the little girl smacked him in the back of the head with one of her school books. He stopped the car, fell out, and then ran off.
