This was definately worth the three hours! And, I didn’t fall asleep. I did close my eyes in a few areas, but I had to. The gross factor is out the window on this one. Just a hint, in Planet Terror when Tarantino’s character gets frisky, you may want to hide.
I much preferred Rodriguez’s Planet Terror over Tarantino’s Death Proof, though. It seemed to me that Planet Terror stayed within the atmosphere of the Grindhouse theme. Death Proof was a good story, but it was too clean, and as usual, there was way too much conversation. However, stick with Death Proof because the ending is entirely worth it.
Much kudos to Rose McGowan who appears in both stories. I do think she’s a good actress and I’d like to see her in more films that can stretch her talents.
Here’s a fun thing for you to look for if you go see Grindhouse (and don’t cheat by going to IMDB!). See if you can spot all of the cameos. There are some very good ones.
I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:
http://www.americanlegends.info
If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.
Thanks,
David
I loved Grindhouse. Exactly my kind of movie. I agree that Planet Terror was better. Death Proof had too much dialogue.
Sounds cool! I really want to see this one, but its doubtful I will make it… who would watch the kids?
I don’t think I will make it to spiderman either. Wah!
I loved it too, although I think I enjoyed Death Proof a little more. The whole experience was awesome!
