Woohoo! Yeah, we saw Pirates of the Caribbean: World’s End today and I loved it. Definitely fun, full of battles, some interesting twists, and all that good stuff. I thought I had the ending figured out, but was glad I was wrong. And there was lots and lots of Barbossa. Yipieeee!
The movie is long, almost 3 hours. I do think there was a spot where the movie should have ended, but didn’t. It wasn’t ruined by the extra bit, but unless a fourth movie is in the works, it wasn’t needed.
I loved the movie completely, of course, but my husband fell asleep about halfway through. He liked the first one and has only put up with the other two. His opinion of all three movies is, “That whiny girl is unnecessary and out of place.” Well, I can’t say I liked Kiera Knightly at first, but her swordplay in the second movie and this one has redeemed her in my eyes. I like her.
I’d love to go see it again, but there’s probably not much chance of that. If we go again, then that means I’ll have to agree and go see. . . BUGS. Not on your life.
Anyway, go see it. Bring your cutlass and your rum and enjoy!
