It’s A Pancake Morning

24 Jun

And that’s the only thing that really makes sense at this early hour. It really isn’t a good idea to be reading headlines when the sun’s been out for less than an hour:

Paris Hilton to go free at last on Tuesday – Free at last! Free at last! BFD. And this headline goes along with this one: Larry King to interview Hilton – Didn’t Larry King used to interview more people with substance than this back in the old days?

Prince William, Girlfriend Reunited? – Well, they’re both cute and I’m sooooo terribly happy for them both… yeah, you can hear the sarcasm, can’t you? Why, on my iGoogle page, does this rate being the Number One story for ABC News, CNN, CBS News and World News? Why did I have to dig for more newsworthy items such as: Iraq’s ‘Chemical Ali’ Sentenced to Hang and Nine U.S. troops die in Iraq? Hmmm cute royalty versus terrorists and war? Meh.

At this hour, the Slap Up the Side of Head Award goes to these two idiots: Patient turns off life-support because it ‘kept him awake’ – Maybe his injury was a lack of brains and common sense? Rev. Jesse Jackson Arrested at Gun Shop Protest – Of course I’d choose any reason to Slap Jackson, but I’ll pull my punches here with a caveat; I can understand the good intentions behind the protest, but in my opinion, protests are noise and we’re a society that’s gotten damn good at tuning out the noise. Don’t like guns? Do something more proactive than a protest to get the laws changed.

That’s it for my morning. I’m going back to bed.

Well maybe he singled her out, but then look at the system because she was already in trouble and drove anyway and if thats all people are getting…thats messed up.

I cant feel bad for her. She was released against the directions of the court anyway the first time.

that boy is an idiot. as for paris, i take issue with them singling her out. “The sheriff has said Hilton’s celebrity focused so much attention on her case that she actually served more time than an average person would have under the same circumstances.” Most people only serve 5 days.

    sleep well!

  3. Oh it does seem like Larry is stooping down for this one.
