Mimi’s Ultrasound

02 Aug

Mimi is at the cat clinic getting her tummy scanned for blockages. I’m half hoping that they find something, but only something that is easy to get rid of.

The house is weirdly vacant with her gone. Claudius is sleeping in her bed and Panda has been pacing and looking for where I might have hidden Mimi.

Neighbors are good things. I was all prepared to carry Mimi (in cat carrier) to the bus and ride on the dreaded, crowded, downtown bus when my neighbor, who introduced herself a couple of weeks back, saw me and offered me a ride. Thank heaven! That saved me soooooo much trouble. And, our neighbor, she’s such a nice person. Very easy to talk to, friendly. She’s even offered to take care of our dogs in September for my BIL’s wedding. I’ll have to run that by the spouse, but that, again, would save us so much.

I’ll update later on Mimi.

Slight UPDATE (Aug. 3) – We could have left Mimi at the pet hospital for IV fluids, but since she has been drinking her tuna water, we chose to take her home. We’re still waiting for results on a liver aspiration test, but so far it’s not looking good. It’s either the liver or cancer and neither seems to bode well for Mimi.

As for the little girl herself, she’s happy to be home and is just a tad chilly around her shaved middle. She sort of looks like she has a bad mohawk. Despite her thinness, she looks awfully cute and she’s so soft, as always. She’s perched in the window right now watching the birds bathing themselves in the sprinkler.
