Before we left for the movie, we spent time with the dogs and our cat. The temperature was just great and there was a slight, cooling breeze. We left the house at 1:30pm giving us some extra time to get our monthly bus passes.
Now for the movie. Mr. Bean’s Holiday is outrageous and hilarious. Roland Atkinson is truly a brilliant and intelligent comedian. The movie was worth every penny. I was laughing so hard I was tearing up, in a good way. It was something Richard and I really needed after yesterday.
It was fairly quiet downtown, which is usually how it is during the week. I like it like that. Most people are at work, so the mall isn’t crawling with hordes.
After the movie we decided to indulge at Olive Garden for dinner.
When we got back home we spent more time with the dogs and with Claudius. I took him out in front while I watered the garden. He meowed a lot since he wasn’t used to the traffic. Then he discovered that the three-foot fence was short enough for him to jump. Luckily I caught him before he did that and I sprayed him with the hose.
I thought about Mimi every quiet space of time I had. I miss her.
I’m glad you and Richard were able to get out for a bit and enjoy the movie. I know it’s herd, now, but those quiet times will eventually get easier. Good memories will start to fill in the ache.
Again, I’m sorry, Jayne.
