I took 54 photos this weekend and not a single one came out decently. My camera has been consistent in taking great photos, but for some reason the lighting was terrible, the flash seems to have failed a few times, and even a few photos came out pixelated. Out of all of them, here is the best one of the whole bunch:

This was just a fluke, which is probably why it was the best. On the approach to the Seattle airport I caught the shadow of our plane on the clouds. The sun was directly on the other side, which may account for the curious rainbow effect.
I believe that I might ask for a new camera for Christmas.

That’s actually a very cool picture. I love the rainbow effect.
I finally broke down and bought a new camera last year and since a new model was just released I got a really good price on the older model. I don’t need all the bells and whistles, just something to take pictures with. It’s turned out to be a nice little camera.
One of these days, when I make my first million $, I’d love to get an SLR with every lens and filter made. ;)
I am bad about buying cameras. I just bought a new Olympic digital camera, which I love. I don’t want to sound like an add, so I won’t go into the details of the camera here.
I am glad you explained the photo. It looked like you had captured a near mid air collision on camera.
That’s really cool.
I want a new camera too. Mine is, what 3 or 4 years old. Waay outdated. Runs on alkaline batteries which die far too fast. Quality of the photo is average. It’s big and clunkly.
I want something compact yet versatile. Oh, you know, the perfect camera for me. Not too much to ask, is it?
