A photo from my trip to Duncan Garden, here in Spokane. These dahlias, called The Giant Dahlia, stand so tall that I have to tip my head back rather far to look at them properly. They are all about one to three feet taller than I am. This particular flower was the width of three of my hands laid flat. Be sure to click on the image to see it’s impressive, full size.

Very nice picture. The petals look really good.
That’s spectacular; I don’t think I’ve ever seen a flower a third that size!
Wow, I haven’t had any luck with my “dinner plate sized” Dahlias here. One bloomed but it was about the size of a marigold. =O(
Nice pic, it makes me want to go for a walk in the gardens up the road.
How wonderful to have someplace like this to go to. It’s a beautiful photo and a beautiful flower.
