Mom’s Home

03 Nov

My mother left at nine o’clock this morning and we went with her. It’s too bad we didn’t hang around after we dropped her off because it turned out her flight had been cancelled. Luckily she and several other passengers were put on another plane. This led to a three hour layover in Portland, OR. There were so many people using the phones that mom wound up borrowing a cell phone from another passenger to call me so that I could change her shuttle bus reservation from San Jose to Monterey. I have GOT to get mom a cell phone. She arrived home, though, safe and sound at 7:30pm. Despite this, she’s looking forward to a visit in the spring around her birthday.

Best of all, I was really pleased to hear my husband say to my mother, as he hugged her goodbye, “I’ll miss you.” That was cool considering they had a bit of a rocky start in the beginning.

Monterey? I love Monterey. I’ve got relatives there and I loved to visit because it was so beautiful there.

Glad your Mom got home safely even with the delay. Isn’t it great when your husband gets along with your family? Especially Mom and Dad?
