I have really been having way too much fun with this theme. Sometimes I love being a guinea pig (if SOMEone out there makes a smart remark on that, she gets COAL!). I know I’ve said before I’m going to do a skin for Shifter, but it pays to read up on the documentation, know how things function before diving in.
For those who have asked, this version of Shifter (1.7 Beta) will be out of beta testing soon and will be available to the public for purchase. I’ll have a link when it’s released. Maybe I’m high on eggnog and Wellbutrin, but I think Shifter really does mark a new evolution in WordPress. It holds so much potential for users, developers and designers. I know there are quite a few WordPress users out there that are loathe to pay for quality WordPress design, but Shifter is one that is worth it.

That’s my favorite so far. Great earthy tones with nice contrast. I think those colors could make a great palette for a blog or website.

I really like this setup, it seems more functional for me as a reader than any other template I’ve seen. I know you’ll play with the colors until you’re happy (or at least, happier). Feel free to use any of the color schemes off of my photoblog if you like, that’s why I made then viewable to the public.
