Yesterday it snowed all day long. This is the biggest snowstorm we’ve had in Spokane since the year Richard and I came up in the middle of a huge storm to find our new home. Here are some photos just to show what we’re dealing with.
This is the willow in our backyard. The snow is piling on so heavily that it’s breaking some of the more brittle branches.
I thought this was rather neat. The snow had piled up so high that it had begun to bend under its own weight. As of 3am this morning, it hasn’t fallen, yet.
This is looking down our street. Residential areas in Spokane don’t get the benefit of snowplows so drivers have to do the best that they can.
Panda was loving the snow and I caught her just as she jumped into a pristine area of snow in our front yard. As you can see, it hits her at chest height. I would have had a photo of Marcus, but he wasn’t really cooperating today.

I don’t miss it, that’s for sure, but it is pretty to look at! :)
jan – I’d rather worry about my neighbor’s pine tree falling our way rather than worry about the next natural disaster. lol
Almost 50% of the country is under snow now. This is bringing out all the experts who have been warning us about the Coming Ice Age. It seems that a lot of people aren’t happy unless they are trying to make the rest of us worry about something.
