The snow has melted enough the we were finally able to get out for the weekend. We went to see Jumper, which was an all right movie, but it seemed like it wasn’t quite finished. Also, it looked like it came from a comic book; or at least it had that comic book style to it.
It was very nice out and it was good to see the sun stay out longer than an hour.
Other than that, not a whole lot is going on. I’ve been working on a story, which a couple of folks have read. Hopefully I can finish it. I won’t say anymore about it, because it seems like I always jinx myself when a story gets this far.
Healthwise I’m doing decently, but my eyes have been bugging the hell out of me. Dryness. My eyes might as well be made out of fire crackled glass with they way they feel most of the time. I bought a steam humidifier, which helped a little bit, but the stupid thing burned out after two weeks. We have really hard water, full of minerals, and the wires just got caked with the boiled out minerals and POW! No more humidifier.
It also doesn’t help that I really need some reading glasses; prescription, that is.
All this crap with my eyes means it’s next to impossible sometimes to sit at this computer. The monitor just doesn’t look as clear as it once did.
Hopefully, within the next three months we’ll be getting a second computer. I’d sort of like a laptop, but if the monitor isn’t crystal clear… well, the monitor is more important these days then 5000gb harddrives and windows vs. mac vs. linux.
Sigh.
My laptop got destroyed while traveling ,we all need to go in for a group discount! :) Glad to hear you made it out of the snow, although we heard that Jumper got really low ratings and skipped it.
I’ve been thinking about another computer for the house too. My current laptop seems to be dying a slow death. Trouble is, I can’t decide between a Mac or a PC. I’m a PC girl to the core but my kids use Mac’s at school. So I can’t decide.
