We went to pick up my reading glasses today. They’re quite nifty. They’re in a set of 1930′s antique frames I bought for a dollar at a garage sale almost 25 years ago. I’ll have to take a pic of them later. They’re going to take a bit to get used to, though. There’s a stronger prism on the left side that throws me off. Just what I need when I’m already lightheaded, an excuse to walk into walls.
Since we had to go downtown for the glasses, Richard thought it might be a good time to brave the theatre. I did pretty well, I must say.
We went to see Forbidden Kingdom. I know the critics really panned it, but we both found it funny and enjoyable. It was a nice little, quest fantasy. I really loved watching all the fights. Very beautiful, well choregraphed.

Cindy – the Temple fight was amazing. I didn’t mind the kid. He shaped up after awhile.
Leaf – I lucked out. My insurance paid 80% and since I provided the frames, I saved myself a bundle.
Whoho! New glasses! Did it cost a bomb to get lenses fitted for them?
Sweet, I luv those frames. Congrats on getting back among the living. Yeah I enjoyed Forbidden Kingdom except for the actor playing the white boy…got on my nerves everytime he opened his mouth. But a chance to finally see Jacke and Jet face off in the signature styles and with a minimum of wire work (the big temple fight) was pretty cool.
