I’ve upgraded my WordPress, added in the Zemanta plugin, messed around with Good Reads (Library Thing limits how many books I can add, and I hate limits), and been bullied cajoled into Plurk-ing… (my apologies to Sam for the bad term) okay, Plurk isn’t that bad, but I’m wondering if the widget I installed is making the loading of my blog slow down. It’s either that or the Good Reads widget. That seems to be one of those all popular java-ma-thingies.

The only thing I’m not messing around with is my blog design. I think I’ve found something I really love. I love Shifter (and am still keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll support further WP updates) and I love my designed skin. When I get tired of Snape (Merlin forbid!!) I can create new images to rotate up there.

I’m still writing my Harry Potter fan fiction. I’m delighted with all the feedback on it. I’m dabbling with other HP Snape-centric stories, but whether they ever see the light of day, is debateable. The fact is, I just enjoy the writing, and gods below, I’m even enjoying the re-writing and endless edits. I do think I’ve read just about all the well-written HP fanfics, though.

Yes, I am a fanfic convert. Bite me.

I am still writing original stuff, too. Those stories are few and far between as I still prefer them to be the one sitting writing deal.

My mother came to visit for two weeks. It was a very good visit, but the maddening cold weather we had in May gave way to a heat wave (99 degrees on Sunday) and it just wilted mom. I think next time we’ll bring her back before the hot weather hits or near the beginning of October when it’s warm, but not deadly.

“Bullied” is an awful term for “sent you traffic from Plurk”…
