
The husband and I went to see Wall-E today. It’s not his usual fare and I expected he would sit next to me the entire time, arms over his chest, not saying a thing and basically glaring stonily at the screen. To my surprise, there were several places in the movie where Richard came awfully close to laughing out loud. He did manage to smile a few times.
It’s a very cute movie, with a good story and done very well. There was a point in the movie where everything went silent (a tense moment) and all the little kids in the theatre were silent as well, their eyes glued to what was going to happen next. It was cool, to say the least.
Young or old, you’d have to be a Grinch to hate this little robot and this movie. Oh, and spoiler, but this movie proves that cockroaches outlast humans, so yeah, we’re doomed.

I took my daughter to see it as a Dad and Daughter “date” night. She really liked it. It is the first movie I have seen her get emotionally attached to.
I totally missed mentioning the music from Hello Dolly. I thought that was pure genius that it was chosen as part of Wall-E’s personality.
