I Love it When A Theme Submits

30 Jan

Severus SnapeHah! Took a bit of thinking on my part (ow) but I finally got the lower half of the front page of this theme to behave the way I wanted it to. And, I also managed to get my random posts working so that with each page refresh, a different piece of original writing would show up.

I feel so sodding clever.

I still miss Snape and my Shifter theme, but now that I’ve put all this thought and effort into getting this one to do what I want, I’ll leave it for a bit.

If you can believe (I can’t) my epic Harry Potter fanfiction, Back In Time, is nearly finished. About five chapters and a freakin’ long epilogue to go.

Am I finished writing fan fiction? Will I write anymore original, weird stories. No. And, yes. To be blunt, I rather like the feedback I get. It is disheartening, though, to realise that all the readers and feedback I have on this one story far outweighs the readership and feedback I’ve gotten on my original stories.

Still, I shall continue to tell stories, original or fan fiction, and folks can read ‘em or no.

I know I’ve written disparagingly in the past of fan fiction and the writers, but, it was an opinion then that I had, and now I don’t. Once I came to the realisation that all I want to do is to tell a story, that allowed me to write the way I wanted. I don’t have to deal with cruel and ghastly editors and I don’t have to steel my ego against a bunch of heartless rejection letters. Been there. Done that. The t-shirt was a rip-off.

So, anyway, if you’d like to read my epic and ruin your eyesight by spending a looooong time on the computer to read it, go for it. It’s not half bad.

Back In Time (lame title – fun story!)

…oh yeah… Panda’s there for you folks who are getting mighty sick of the greasy git’s face.
