Capt. Hook: The Adventures of a Notorious Youth by J. V. Hart
My review
rating: 3 of 5 stars
A decent enough story. It improved greatly after James went to sea. There was far too much “Etonian” slang and I kept having to go Google for definitions. A glossary might have been handy.
It’s a good story speculating on the childhood of the villainous Capt. Hook… it’s not spectacular. It didn’t make me want to read the sequels.

Wow. You know it’s pretty dark in here. I can’t see a darn thing.
Is that a venomous snake there…?!
Are Venezuelans in here with us???
YOOOO HOOOOO… any one out there? I was going to fan some fiction… but I cannot see anything.
I’m currently reading “Peter and the Starcatchers.” It’s a nifty take on Peter Pan’s origins by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
