Mumbling Twits

01 Aug

You do know, of course, that birds were the first to Twitter before man did? Oh, and they still do it. And, they’re still annoying as hell.

Twit: To taunt, ridicule, or tease, especially for embarrassing mistakes or faults.

1. The act or an instance of twitting.
2. A reproach, gibe, or taunt.
3. Slang. A foolishly annoying person.

[Short for obsolete atwite, from Middle English atwiten, from Old English ætw?tan : æt, at; see at1 + w?tan, to reproach.]

Do you Twitter?

I did, for a short time. I found it to be a nuisance. Who the hell really wanted to know what I was doing every damn minute of the day? I’m a virtual shut-in with an immense imagination; i.e.: No Life.

Behold! An actual Twit Bird! Endangered species, by the way.

I’m glad *you* think so, Jayne!

    Wanna follow my Tweets? :P

Sam – you’re smarter than the average bear, so I know you approach Twitter with more use in mind. :)

I’m not a huge Twitter fan, but I do use it, and every now and then, I find it useful. Twitter’s fine for posting the mundane stuff (and sometimes having conversations because of it), but there’s no rule that says that’s how it has to be used.
