The Queen’s Meme: Give Peace A Chance

I’ve skipped a lot of my regular memes this week since I haven’t quite been in the frame of mind to do them. The Queen’s Meme, though, gave me a chance to highlight a book by a friend. If you’re so inclined, consider the peace she is offering in her words. See question #3.

1. How do you find your own personal peace/nirvana?

In the silence.

2. Where do you go to find respite and solace?

In my imagination, a book, writing, or when possible, a garden.

Is there a particular place, city, country, room in your house?

No.

3. Who is the most peace-loving person you know? What makes them so?

Logospilgrim. She has the serenity of a person content in her faith. She gives me peace.

The Flawed Master

The Flawed Master

4. What do you do when your inner peace is threatened?

Shatter.

Do you have a strategy, a routine, religious faith, a mantra……to calm yourself down?

It depends on how my inner peace was shattered. If it’s physically, such as an anxiety attack, I take medication. If it’s my surroundings, I’ll listen to music, or hubby takes the dogs downstairs (as they are sometimes the culprits).

5. What is your favorite comfort food?

Something not good for me.

6. Do you have a pet that brings you happiness and peace? If not, what type of animals bring you peaceful thoughts?

I love Panda and Marcus, but my old cat, Claudius is sometimes able to soothe what the two noisemakers can’t.

7. What is your favorite peace song?

8. Did you post a peace globe on November 5th and participate in BlogBlast For Peace?

I have no idea what that is.

I find cats to be more calming than dogs. Sadly I no longer have a cat.
By the way I love Professor Snape! He was/is my favorite character in the Harry Potter series.
