First of all, that IE Script Error message that was driving me to madness, has been taken care of. I had to uninstall Flock, then turn off or disable Java and Javascript in the browsers I keep to see how my blog looks in them. That’s Opera, Chrome, and IE7 which I cannot uninstall. I took a chance and left Java on in Firefox, and have had no errors at bootup since.
Thanks to everyone who provided advice or sympathy.
Next, in case you hadn’t seen it, yet, I am cross-posting my blog at Livejournal. Since there are a few people I wish to keep up with there, it was easiest to give in and open a blog there. If you prefer LJ and have a blog and wish to Friend me there, feel free.
I am attempting to be more social, these days, which is difficult since I have literally no life outside of this computer. I have no intention of jumping out into the Spokane social scene and finding friends, but I have seen how isolating myself on the computer has begun to hurt me.
It is easier, when the cold weather comes, for me to be sociable, than it is during warm weather. My Reverse Seasonal Disorder at work. (Shut up, Cindy, I can hear you laughing!)* I am hoping that if I become sociable enough during the winter, that with a bit of effort, I can keep up the momentum through Spring and hopefully on into Summer.
We shall see.
I will “talk” to people but it’s best to do so either via Facebook, Twitter, LiveJournal, or Email.
I tried Gtalk, but got fed up with it. I’m just not ready for that sort of interaction.
* I love Cindy, so I can tell her to “shut up”. ;-)

I always keep Java disabled in every browser that I can, except for that once in a blue moon when I use an online applet to generate a word graphic. Java is mostly annoying. With Firefox and Opera, only enabling JavaScript on a per-site or per-domain basis is a good security step. Wish I could do that in Chrome. *angry smiley*
But the real question is this: Who is Cindy? And is there anyone that I can tell to shut up? Because I’ve found that sometimes gets me bitten. :(
Glad your script error is cleared up, regardless! :)
Cindy is my best friend. She supersedes all others. She and I met years ago when she was still in school and her mother thought I was a flake. I don’t think I’m considered a flake anymore. lol We just clicked as friends and did a lot of fun things and stupid things together. I don’t talk to her nearly enough, but I do love her still and always think of her.
She might let you tell her to shut up, but she might have to beat you up first.
