The Epic is Finished

08 Feb

SnapeIf you’re a fan of Severus Snape and enjoy fan fiction that keeps our beloved Potions Master alive, then come and read my epic, Back In Time at FanFiction.net or feel free to download a .rar file or .zip file of the entire story in a PDF format.

Back In Time came about after my extreme disappointment with the last book, The Deathly Hallows. Severus Snape is, to me, a timeless character who deserves so much more than what the author envisioned. Back In Time was my way of giving Snape the ending he deserved. I hope you’ll give it a chance.

Since coming to the conclusion, not long before writing this, that I just wanted to tell stories I cannot believe the fun I’ve had writing this and the accomplishment I’ve felt. I have enjoyed talking to the people reading my story and loved getting actual feedback I could use. Best of all, I wrote a long story, one I didn’t get bored with halfway through, and finished it.

Chapters: 91 – Words: 322,437 – Reviews: 330

Now, if you’re wondering if I’ve gotten over my obsession with Severus Snape… forget it. I’ll do that when I get over my obsession with Captain James Hook, Captain Hector Barbossa, and Hellboy. So there.

I Love it When A Theme Submits

30 Jan

Severus SnapeHah! Took a bit of thinking on my part (ow) but I finally got the lower half of the front page of this theme to behave the way I wanted it to. And, I also managed to get my random posts working so that with each page refresh, a different piece of original writing would show up.

I feel so sodding clever.

I still miss Snape and my Shifter theme, but now that I’ve put all this thought and effort into getting this one to do what I want, I’ll leave it for a bit.

If you can believe (I can’t) my epic Harry Potter fanfiction, Back In Time, is nearly finished. About five chapters and a freakin’ long epilogue to go.

Am I finished writing fan fiction? Will I write anymore original, weird stories. No. And, yes. To be blunt, I rather like the feedback I get. It is disheartening, though, to realise that all the readers and feedback I have on this one story far outweighs the readership and feedback I’ve gotten on my original stories.

Still, I shall continue to tell stories, original or fan fiction, and folks can read ‘em or no.

I know I’ve written disparagingly in the past of fan fiction and the writers, but, it was an opinion then that I had, and now I don’t. Once I came to the realisation that all I want to do is to tell a story, that allowed me to write the way I wanted. I don’t have to deal with cruel and ghastly editors and I don’t have to steel my ego against a bunch of heartless rejection letters. Been there. Done that. The t-shirt was a rip-off.

So, anyway, if you’d like to read my epic and ruin your eyesight by spending a looooong time on the computer to read it, go for it. It’s not half bad.

Back In Time (lame title – fun story!)

…oh yeah… Panda’s there for you folks who are getting mighty sick of the greasy git’s face.
