Really, It’s A Doodle

These abstracts that I do originally were small doodles in the margins of my notebooks in school. My dad was a doodler. Whenever he was on the phone, he had a pen and a scratchpad handy and he would draw amazing, geometric patterns. They fascinated me and I did my best to do the same.

I never considered my elaborate doodles any sort of artwork until I sold one on I’d printed on a card.

I believe I have a much wider idea of what art is, and art certainly includes doodles.

I dragged out the pens and paper recently. This is one thing I came up with. I did some texturizing in Paint Shop Pro, but the main design was done by hand.
