Brush With Fame – Glogged
This glog illustrates one of my most memorable moments when I went to Atlanta to meet friends (a married couple) I’d met four years earlier on the internet. I went to visit during the huge DragonCon that’s held every year out there. This was in 2004. In an earlier blog I wrote about those days, but those posts are gone.
Due to a fortuitous set of circumstances, I was able to meet with the four actors in Farscape who were attending the con that year, Virginia Hey, David Franklin, Wayne Pygram and Paul Goddard.
The night before the photos were taken with the guys at the con, we were taken to dinner at Benihana by their agent (nice lady). Quite a lot of fun, but I didn’t get round to taking any photos there. Mel did. She has ‘em. Maybe… After dinner, I received lovely kisses on my cheek from Wayne and Paul.
The next day we met them in the signing area and took some photos. David Franklin (guy in the blue) is a regular cut up with his fans and can get pretty bad about teasing them. Their agent had my camera and in the first photo he was about to yank my hair. In the second photo, his agent snapped at him to behave. That was my chance as she began to take the third photo. Mel was nearby and just at the last second she was onto my plan… muwhahaha.
And then, I goosed him. The flash went off and caught the shot perfectly. David turned to me, his face just incredulous, and said, “I can’t believe you did that! You look like butter would melt in your mouth. Cheeky girl!”
That last photo with Virginia Hey, the tall blonde Aussie, was taken in Mel’s kitchen. She wrote the sign in order to “prove” she’d met me. lol
So that’s my brush with Farscape fame. And probably the last time you’ll see my face around here for awhile.
I Know His Name
He told me in a dream.
The Doctor, that is.

I forget most of the dream, but the Master (Roger Delgado) was in the dream as well. He and the Doctor had a reluctant alliance and they were in the middle of an arguement where the Doctor was trying to convince the Master that his plan was the way to go. With a smug grin, he quipped, “If this doesn’t work than my name isn’t Utheredt!”
Martha was there and she frowned and said, “What did you say?!”
The Doctor smiled cheekily and before he could make a smart remark, the Master grumbled, “Docter, this isn’t working!”
Well…. there it is, then.
