30 Days of Posts

30 Nov

I did it! Not just a single post a day, sometimes I did two. I’m pretty damn pleased with myself for managing this.

NaBloPoMo Badge

That aside, my husband and I just watched Bug. A well done movie, but I am really glad I refused to see it in the theatre. I haven’t been much of an Ashley Judd fan, but she did a superb job in this. If you haven’t seen and think it’s simply about bugs, you’re wrong. It’s a journey into madness. This movie pulls no punches, so if you’re at all squeamish, it’s not for you.

Spokesman Review Building

This is a quick shot I took of the Spokesman Review’s tower. This took quite a bit of post-processing in Paint Shop Pro to bring out the image. I thought I had totally blown it since I’d left the lens hood when I took the photo. However, it actually enhances the end result and makes the building appear as though one is looking through a telescope.

NaBloPoMo Almost Over

25 Nov

I’ve very nearly done it. So far, for 25 days, I’ve not missed one day to post. What’s more, I think I had quite a few posts that were interesting and weren’t just one-liners, or quizzes. The last five days almost feel as though they will be a breeze. It’s been fun giving my blog such a workout like this.

Got an old movie to reccommend: Arch of Triumph starring Anthony Hopkins. Made in 1985. Weird to think it’s an “old” movie. Gads!

Not Quite Seven Things Weird

07 Nov

I have been tagged by Leaf of Leaf, probably…

I know I did one of these earlier this year, but damned if I can find it. Oh yeah, HERE it is. It’s getting tougher to pick through my memories for facts, much less strange or weird facts. Seeing as how I don’t want to make Leaf sad, I shall see what I can dredge up this time.

  1. I had one imaginary friend when I was a kid that wasn’t invisible. When we lived in “the apple orchard” there was a tall, telephone pole several feet from our house. I called the telephone pole, Mrs. Telephone Pole. I always visited her after school and told her about my day.
  2. I used to have very vivid and realistic hallucinations as a kid. To this day I’ve not told any medical professional about these. It’s because I’m not entirely sure they were hallucinations and until I know for certain, I’m not going to let a psychiatrist ruin the memory of these.
  3. From the time I began school as a child I’ve had vivid, lucid-type dreams of just about every type of death you can imagine. Some time in high school I realized that these kind of dreams increased with the number of friends I had. When I narrowed down the number of friends and acquaintances, I had less dreams. Since being withdrawn from physical society, the dreams have been very nearly non-existant.
  4. I can’t count back change. I failed doing so in a high school home economics class and failed to do so in several jobs.
  5. Except for anxiety and depression, I’m quite sane.
  6. I can’t think of anymore weird things. Is that enough?

As usual I’m supposed to tag people and usually I’m pretty lazy about that. However, since some folks need Nablopomo fodder, I’m going to tag all the friends I have at Nablopomo.

I Have Been Here Before

I am seeking a question.
