I’d hoped to catch this show earlier in the evening, but had just missed the beginning. So, it was repeated at 1am. It looks very good and I’m looking forward to the next 5 episodes. Gillian Anderson, as Lady Deadlocke, is very good.
The spousal unit, my Richard, is coming home from San Jose, CA tomorrow. He was gone visiting his mother and brother. He told me the weather was very nice there. It’s been chilly and rainy here, with a little bit of snow.
The weekend has been quiet and I’ve taken the time to do a lot of writing. However, I just horrified myself late one night as I realized I was writing a piece of fan fiction… oh no! That wasn’t the worst… it was Star Trek fan fiction!! Gah!
When I was young, I used to write a lot of Star Trek fan fiction. Of course, back then, I’d never even heard the phrase, fan fiction. It wasn’t the stigma back then as it seems to be these days. I just remember that I enjoyed writing new adventures for the characters, for Kirk, Spock and McCoy. I’ll admit, sometimes I put myself in the stories, but that was rare.
This silly little drawing was originally an illustration for one of my Star Trek stories. The most that I can recall of the story was that it had been influenced by the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon. Sometimes I wish I still had those stories.
What do you wish you’d kept from your childhood days?
